Division 1 - where
the Coastal Region
of the Eighth Coast
Guard District
begins! Stretching
from St Mark's, FL
westward to
Pensacola and
encompassing the
southern parts of
Alabama and
Georgia just
above the state
line, Division 1 is
home to seven
diverse
Flotillas and
over 225 volunteers.
As part of Coast
Guard Sector Mobile,
the Division
supports the small
boat stations in
Pensacola,
Destin, and
Panama City,
and the Aids to
Navigation Team and
Marine Safety
Detachment, both
also located in
Panama City. Our
activities focus on
recreational boating
safety in many
different forms - on
the water, in the
classroom, on boat
ramps and at boat
shows. We are
dedicated to
improving the skills
and qualifications
of the boating
public in the
Florida Panhandle.
The Auxiliary also
serves as a "force
multiplier" to the
US Coast Guard,
the primary agency
of the
Department of
Homeland Security.
During this era of
terroristic threats,
economic crisis, and
funding shortages,
our members provide
the resources to
free up time, and
often assist, the
Coast Guard
personnel in the
completion of vital
missions in Marine
Safety, Port
Security, Search and
Rescue, and
Navigational Aid
support and repair.
If you're interested
in improving your
boating knowledge
and skills, or
providing a valuable
service to your
community, the
Auxiliary may be the
place for you.
Contact any of our
Flotilla's and
they'll help you get
started.
Division 1 has a
highly motivated and
committed group of
volunteer members
and I'm proud to
serve them. Thanks
you for visiting our
web site, and let us
know if we can
provide you with
additional
information on all
we do.
